Microsoft continues to develop new features for Microsoft Teams.
In its portal, we can read that its next goal is to increase the number of participants in a video call, a feature we were waiting for.
This new feature adds to the features we already enjoy, such as:
- Noise reduction
- Screen sharing.
- Instant access to content via tabs.
- Quick access to frequently used documents, links and applications.
- Subtitles on live broadcasts.
- Integration with OneNote and SharePoint.
- Edit Office Online documents directly from Teams.
- Add Power BI reports, among others.
The new feature takes relevance for the business and education sectors, where it has increased the rate of participants ensuring the privacy of the information you share, by encrypting data at all times, at rest and in transit. Currently Microsoft Teams already allows up to 250 participants in a video call, but plans to bring this limit to 300 users.
Bearing in mind that the new update already offers a large number of participants in group chats that can accommodate up to 250 users and teams can have up to 10,000 members, Microsoft Tems’ new target for video calls will be a big leap ahead of the competition.
Microsoft Teams has become, in these months, the most effective tool for teleworking, allowing users to combine meetings, calls, chats and collaborations in a single platform, adapting to the needs of users. One of the functions that improves the productivity of Microsoft Teams is “quiet hours”, a function that allows to silence the notifications according to the established schedule, as if one was working in the office, allowing to separate the work online, from the hours of recreation and rest of the users.
